An infectious disease which caused by Bacteria Borrelia B Burgdorferi lato, called Lyme disease. The bed becomes much affected after feeding if you feed on infected bucks or rats. If you the parasite bit you then the dots will be signs on your skin.  Many of the people don’t even know that they have bitten by a tick.

Why it’s Lyme disease?

Near about 1975 this disease was reported the first time an old town of Lyme Connecticut. This disease can be found in Northeast, Northwest of Europe, and Upper Midwest of US. The people who live in wild areas get this disease. And the people who domesticated the animals like dogs, horse or any other animal, and when they let them free to go in wild areas have the high chances to get this disease.


  • Normally this disease has three stages.
  • The first phase is early localised
  • The second stage is early disseminated
  • The third one is considered as late disseminated

what is Lyme disease

Early Localised

After the bite, this disease shows the first signs in between 7 t0 14 days. Bully eye rash is one of the very first signs of this disease. Bully-eye rash indicates that the bacteria in your blood stream is frequently multiplying. It looks like a red spot where you have the tick bite. This red spot sometimes surrounds by a clean spot with some redness on its edge. It’s not painful, but it can feel warm when you touch it and neither itches. This rash takes about a month to disappear.

Erythema migrans the formal name of this disease.

But still, most of the people are not aware of Lemy disease, and even its symptoms. Some people get the rash on their body with a solid red spot. But the people with dark tones can have a rash that follows a bruise.

Lyme disease Early disseminated

It is not necessary that you will get the symptoms right after the tick bites you. It takes many weeks to show its signs.  When it bites you, the bacteria begin to spread in your blood stream throughout the body. You can suffer from many health issues like:
A sore throat, muscles aches, headache, fever and chills.  

In early disseminated, you can have some familiar feeling of tiredness, fever and unwellness. It is not necessary that where it bit you, the rash will appear there, no, it can appear anywhere in your body. It has some neurological signs like anaesthesia and shivering also.

Late disseminated Lyme disease

Stage 3 occurs you don’t treat this disease in early two stages.

This phase can occur after one week, one month or after one year of a tick bite.

In this stage, you can feel a regular headache,

  • pain in large joints
  • disturbance in heartbeat
  • neuro disorders, changing in the mood, and sleep
  • short term memory loss
  • you can face some difficulty while focusing

If the patient is more than 9-year old, then the doctor recommend doxycycline, and for adults and women who breastfeed cefuroxime and amoxicillin. 

Persistent or permanent Lyme disease treats with injecting antibiotics for 15 to 22 days. This treatment kills your infection and improves you slowly.

The prevention of Lyme disease

The prevention will reduce the danger of getting a tick bite. You need to follow some of the steps which would help you to prevent from Lyme disease:

  • You need to wear long sleeves shirt and pants when you go outside.
  • Clean out your garden areas, yards and make it unfriendly.
  • You need to spray some insect repellent. A specified amount of Deet will protect you for a long time, but if you use too much DEET, don’t apply it on your hands. Put DEET away from the reach of your children.
  • Always being careful and a routine check yourself, your children and pets would be the best prevention of Lyme disease. If you think that you can’t have Lyme disease, then it’s wrong. Many people got this disease more than once.
